Effective immediately, all volunteers are expected to have all of their paperwork and training completed prior to being able to be a volunteer (coach, referee, etc..). All national guidelines (field sizes, team and roster sizes, etc..) will also be enforced. These rules have been in place for a while, but were relaxed during COVID and subsequent years. This year, the area, section and national offices are requiring that these be followed. We have placed all divisions on a 'wait list' program for any new registrations until these requirements are met and we can start assigning teams.
If you are going to be a volunteer in the program, you will need to make sure that you register yourself as a volunteer, complete all the paperwork and training programs appropriate for that level (i.e. for an 8U coach/team - 8U Coach training, volunteer application, background checks, etc..) Only after we have qualified individuals will we be able to assign teams.
Once you register yourself as a volunteer, you will start receiving emails about the background check process and where to go for training. 24 hours after registering, you should have access to the training platform. The link should be visible when you log back into the registration system, look for the AYSOU link on the left side of the screen. The AYSOU learning management system is where you will take your training and certifications.
