Spring 2022 Information

To all the new and returning players, friends and families, welcome to the Spring 2022 season!

There will be more information coming soon, but I wanted to start sharing with all of you.

1. If you played in the fall of 2021, you are all set for the spring season and don't need to do anything else.
2. Rosters will be worked on and delivered to the coach's within the next couple weeks.
a. Coaches - as of now, your rosters from the fall can be used as a base roster.
3. Coaches will communicate with their players advising on when practices will be and game schedules.
4. Game schedules will not be decided for another 2-3 weeks and we will get them online and to the coaches as soon as we have them figured out.
a. If you are in an older division, we are waiting for the area scheduling meeting as well so that is usually an extra delay.
5. Practices can start as early as March 26th, again depending on the coach's availability.
a. Practices and games are held at Armstrong Park on North Main Street, our new home.
6. We will be looking for volunteers to help with field setup somewhere around March 26th, give or take a week or two and depending on weather.
7. Games are looking to start on Saturday, April 9th.
a. Yes, we know this is the last Saturday of spring break. If you are not available, just let you coach know.
b. Some coaches already know they are still out of town on that day, so we can work around those dates and your first games may not start until April 16th.
8. We have agreements in place with Armstrong park so we don't have to solicit volunteers for concession stands. HOWEVER, we hope that this trade off results in more hands available for setting up the fields, goals, etc during our setup days.

Probably the most important part of this email: we continue to have more players signing up every day, which is great! This also means that we still need more coaches. There were some very large teams in the fall and those teams are still in place as of today. As of today, we could use an additional 2  6U coaches; 2  8U; 1  10U;  and 1  12U. If we don't have extra coaches, the teams will be even larger than the fall and less playing time. I hope this is enough of a guilt trip to have a few people volunteer :-)
If you are interested in filling one, or more, of these coaching positions, please email me directly at [email protected] so we can get the process started.

Thanks and I'm sure there will be more information to follow up with in the coming days.
